My best friend requested that I make her a sticker set of quotes that she likes, and this is the first from the series. Well, hopefully there will be more! It was actually back in December that she asked me to make them, and I’m only getting around to it now! Oops.
It’s interesting to me that she chose this because it totally matches the big project that I’m working on at the moment, which is my thesis. The topic is escapism and “Live your dreams!” is one of the messages that I’m trying to get across. Maybe I can even use this as one of my marketing collaterals!
I know this is bad, but I don’t really practice my graphic design, typography, and drawing very much. I only do it when I have to. So this is good exercise. I’m thinking of it as the warm-up to the marathon illustrating I will be partaking in soon enough with my graphic novel for my thesis project.
I’m not really a big fan of the stretching portion, by the way. Even when I physically exercise, I just dive right in. But this was a good design exercise, and if I do it more, I know it will be beneficial to me in the long run. Delayed gratification!
